Scout's Place Saba revisited

— Connecting past and future through heritage

For this project we assisted to develop the vision and masterplan. The vision for this project is to create a haven that not only provides shelter from the tropical rains but also embraces the breathtaking beauty of the surroundings, offering unparalleled ocean views from its elevated location at 450m above sea level, all in a Saba heritage setting. All in the scope of the renovation and extension of the hotel including from 14 to 32 rooms.

The design is a blend of innovation and tradition, featuring different room types that cater to diverse preferences and needs. From earth rooms that nestle gently into the landscape to cozy cottages and breathtaking sky rooms, each space is thoughtfully crafted to offer a unique experience to our guests.

At the heart of the hotel stands our remarkable restaurant, designed as an awe-inspiring auditorium, offering panoramic vistas that stretch across the horizon. Here, guests can savor delectable cuisine while immersing themselves in the beauty of the island's coastal splendor. By cleverly designing the auditorium to be versatile, we've ensured that it can also transform into a captivating cinema, enriching the community's cultural experiences and fostering a strong bond between visitors and the village of Windwardside.

Our commitment to accessibility is evident throughout the project, as we strive to make 50% of the hotel wheelchair accessible, ensuring that every guest can enjoy the wonders of this paradise without limitations. The thoughtfully chosen materials on the exterior, such as the typical Saba red roofs, green shutters, white walls, and rock walls, are a respectful nod to the island's architectural heritage.

While drawing inspiration from Saba's rich architectural legacy, we have embraced modernity to seamlessly blend our creation into the historic village center. The result is a harmonious fusion of the past and the present, an architectural gem that stands as a testament to the island's enduring legacy while embracing the comforts and standards of international luxury.

Every interior space in our hotel pays homage to Saba's heritage, reflecting the island's unique culture and history through thoughtful design touches. Yet, these spaces are adorned with luxurious finishes that evoke a sense of refinement and elegance, ensuring that hotel guests enjoy a premium experience.
