The Bastions

— Minimalizing environmental impact and maximizing durability

The Bastion buildings are the final stage in the development at the cruise terminal on the port of Sint Maarten. The buildings are designed with the focus on minimalizing the environmental impact and maximizing the durability of the structure, in order to deliver a structure that can serve several generations. The style and atmosphere refers to historical warehouses crossing with elements from the various Forts we find close to ports around the Caribbean. The ‘’backyard’’ of the buildings is a connecting element in the ‘’Green Ribbon’’, connecting flora and fauna, land and water, along the shores of Great Bay.
